The most beautiful word in the English language

December 30, 2009 – 1:10 am

It stops you dead in your tracks when you’re in the middle of your favorite tv show or playing your favorite sport.

It violently arrests your attention even when you’re telling your best friend about your favorite story or when you’re enjoying a fantastic book.

It makes you turn around in the middle of a noisy and boisterous shopping mall crowd.

It can singlehandedly make you feel nervous, feel scared, feel happy, feel comforted, feel cared about, and feel important.

What is it?

You guessed it: your name.

Do you make a point of using the names of your prospects when communicating?

Next time you’re tempted to call them “chief” or “bud” or “bro”, call them by their name instead.

It’s music to their ears.
