3 Cool Ways Every Window Cleaner Can Use Video To Make More Money

Thank you Youtube.

Thank you Viddler.

And thank you every other FREE video hosting service out there anxious to donate almost unlimited bandwidth to help you make more money for your window cleaning business.

How exactly, can you use it, though?

Sure, you have videos of that cool ski trip you took last year, and also one of your cat, but those aren’t really the kind of videos that are gonna put more money in your pocket, so let’s get serious for a minute.

3 Super Cool Ways To Use Video NOW In Your Window Cleaning Marketing

1. Use Video For Estimates.

The very next time a prospect asks you to prepare an estimate for them, and you can’t simply give them a price over the phone (for whatever reason), go to their place, and record a little video out front of their home.

Introduce yourself, tell them that you appreciate their interest in your services, assure them that you are familiar and comfortable with the scope of the required work, and that you look forward to getting this done for them. And then either provide pricing directly in the video, or direct them to where the pricing information can be found, if you have provided a downloadable PDF pricing overview, or something similar, for them.

Here’s an example of a video estimate.

(Please note that the horrible hairdo didn’t prevent me from getting this job, and the client specifically identified this video as being the “X” factor that won me the contract. Lesson: Just be yourself, don’t worry about being perfect.)

2. Use Video To Document Completed Work.

If you sometimes clean a clients windows – or gutters – while they are stuck at work, and not home, then this is particularly compelling. Especially gutters, since the client really has no idea if you did anything at all, given the height problem.

Give it a try, and be safe, too.

Walk around their home, explain what has been done, what challenges were overcome, and how everything looks now. Thank them again for their business, and make sure you smile. Use their name, too, but don’t identify the property address, to keep things confidential. And of course, only record outside their home.

You knew that already, though.

3. Use Video For Testimonials.

Having a stranger say the exact same thing as you is 10 times more powerful. It doesn’t make sense, but it’s true. Your built in “scammer-radar” goes into defcon four when you hear someone rave about how awesome they are, but when an entirely different human opens their mouth and says the exact same stuff, you let your defenses down, and drink it down.

It’s just the way we operate, and its one of those ’shortcuts’ we learn at a very young age to weed out the unsavory people from the trustworthy.

So, use it.

Record a client talking about how much they love your window cleaning services, and why they do. Encourage them to use their name, and also mention their street name, and city, as well as how long they have used you, and where they heard about you, too. Have them close with some kind of flagrant endorsement of your services.

If necessary, bribe your client with a $10 gift certificate, in exchange for their 45 seconds in front of your camera :)

That’s the 3.

Use videos for Estimates.

Use videos to Document Completed Work.

And use videos for Testimonials.

Record your first one tomorrow. Or at least this week.

It would be crazy for you not to.

Right?
