Why You Must Never Settle For Cheaper Window Cleaning Work When You’re Starting Out
November 17, 2007 – 1:19 pmOkay – so you’ve finally took the plunge and started your very own window cleaning business! Congratulations.
You’re building a clientele that expects and receives high-caliber workmanship, and that receives responsive customer service. You have worked hard to create marketing that appeals to your target market, and that conveys the image you want to stamp on your prospective clients consciousness…in essence, you have carved out your little USP and have enjoyed some success already in landing some perfect clients – exactly who you wanted your window cleaning business to cater to.
Now, however, reality has started to settle in, and your bills are starting to pile up, and you are NOT making enough money with your new, little window cleaning route. And today, lo and behold, you have been offered some lower priced window cleaning work not too far from where you are.
What do you do now?
You think to yourself “This is great! Now I can pay off some bills, get some things looked after, and then get back to focusing on my original plan.”
I’ll tell you something: Most small window cleaning business owners in your predicament will roll over and GRAB that work with open arms, convincing themselves that “its only temporary”, and “I’ll just do this until I get my other stuff together”.
As your window cleaning business coach, I am here to tell you : DO NOT TAKE THE WORK.
When you are building your window cleaning business, do not accept work that doesn’t fit into your target market.
There are many reasons for this, all outlined and explained in your Window Cleaning Business Blueprint, but here is one big one: You are wasting precious time.
Yup – wasting it.
How so?
Every minute that you allocate for cleaning this lower priced work has officially been stolen from the precious time that must be crucially invested in establishing your target window cleaning clientele. So, in effect, you are cannibalizing your most valuable resource – your time.
Will it be easy to NOT take the lower priced work?
Is it easy to “just say no” to jobs that are priced lower than your target pricing, and that fall outside your target market? Of course, not. It is in fact, FAR from easy, and many people will consider you to be foolish, arrogant, and/or naive for turning down work when you are hungry for it, but you NEED TO if you really want to achieve the best business results in the fastest amount of time.
Hey – it’s my job to tell you what you NEED to know, not what want to hear. Apply what I say, and you’ll get to your destination faster than you ever thought possible. And again, this is just one reason of many solid, proven reasons. And, lets face it, the more good, reliable reasons any of us are given, the more likely we are going to act on what we’ve heard, right?
The whole scoop on this important strategy, along with all 4 tested, proven reasons as to why this must be strictly followed are available in your Window Cleaning Business Blueprint.
